I don’t think there’s anything cooler than having drinks in an igloo at the Godfrey Hotel in Chicago. And I mean that in the awesome, amazing, super-cool way, not the cold way because when I stepped into that igloo it was a heavenly warmth on one of the coldest days of the year.
I teamed up with Urban Matter to check out what Winter Wonderland at the Godfrey was all about and I was feeling EXTRA lucky to be there. As soon as you step out onto the patio you are surrounded by snowflakes, igloo, pretty white lights, and the Chicago skyline surrounding you.
My friends and I walked into the super cute, all white igloo and immediately warmed up. We were a little worried we would freeze our butts off, but it was amazing. And it only got better when our wonderful waitress brought in a bottle of champagne to kick off the day.
We spent the cold day hanging out on a patio, drinking some champagne, taking in the Chicago sights. We stayed for hours not realizing how much time went by because it was such a fun place to be and the service was AMAZING. Our waitress kept stopping by to make sure we were okay with food and drinks, and others kept checking to make sure we were warm enough (which we always were).
Every single one of us would recommend going to Winter Wonderland at the Godfrey if you are in Chicago this winter. Don’t miss out on one of the most fun and unique stops in the city!
