During both winter and fall, doing my makeup is much easier than when it’s hot and sunny. Fall tolerates heavier makeup, darker shades of eyeshadows and lipsticks, smokey eyes and all other make up trends I’m sure you’d all love to wear much more often in the summer. Though, we can’t because most of the times, all that makeup just melts on your face, so it’s a good option to go with something much lighter on your skin and to find some brighter shades to accentuate your looks.
This morning I wanted to go and grab a drink with my friend, so while I was getting ready I was completely out of ideas on which lipstick shade to choose. I’ve realised that I haven’t quite updated my makeup bag with summer friendly shades and neutral shades that look good with pastels and pinkish dresses. So, that inspired me to create this post, since I’m sure many ofyou are struggling with the same issue these days.
This shade is so full of life! Make sure to go minimal with the rest of your makeup because this beautiful shade is really enough for itself. It’s bold, it will make you feel confident and you will look gorgeous. A summer must have!
This is the shade I always enjoy wearing – no matter the season! Peach always looks girly enough and goes well with most clothing pieces. It’s not an aggressive color and you’ll feel pretty without even noticing you have lipstick on.
On Wednesdays, We Wear Pink!
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.. Whatever day it is, pink lipstick will be a perfect choice. The only thing that you must keep in mind when wearing a pink lipstick is to keep it very simple on the eyes – use only mascara (and eyeliner, if you must) and some highlighter because you might risk looking tacky if you go too dark on the days and put too much eyeshadow. Soft pink will usually tolerate more makeup than other darker shades of pink, though.
Red for a Perfect Nightout Look
I usually don’t feel very comfortable wearing red lipstick in the summer, epecially during the daytime. However, some girly summer nightouts look much better with that red lipstick, so you don’t have to completely kick it out of your makeup routine.
Extra tip: For longer lasting color on your lips, use a lipliner in the same shade and apply it before lipstick.
What’s your favorite summer shade of lipstick?
