Tomboy vs. Feminine

Over the years, fashion has changed and evolved so much. While menswear sticks to its origins – blazers, ties & bow ties which will never go out of style, women are the ones who tend to experiment much more with their style. Women love wearing ripped boyfriend jeans, at least two sizes bigger than their usual skinny jeans, and wearing baggy sweatshirts, all paired up with a black Jack the Ripper (what I like to call it) hat.

As for me, I have always loved a more feminine style, though there are days when I just want to feel comfy yet chick, so I myself slip into my pair of boyfriend jeans and some edgy boots. It all really depends on my mood – some days I just don’t feel like wearing heels or skirts because I either need to walk a lot or it’s just one of those days. Yes, tomboy can still look very chic but it’s not easy to pull off, especially if you are bad at mixing & matching. Check out these great examples of tomboy, yet chic, clothing to see how to pull it off yourself.

Now that we’ve seen couple of these fashionable tomboy styles, I think it’s time to check out the more feminine side. This is all about minimalist, bright, soft colors. We’ll start off, again, with a picture of Negin Mirsalehi, who seems to pull off both feminine and tomboy styles quite well!

Now it’s up to you to decide! Which one do you prefer, tomboy or feminine?

Every since grade school, I have always leaned towards a more tomboy side and please believe, I still make it tomboy in as a fashion blogger. It’s what I feel most comfortable in and it’s always so relaxed and chill. Plus, I’m always comfortable haha!

I simply adore menswear! It’s way more comfy than the traditional female looks! My go-to look is boyfriend jeans and blazers. So comfy and so chic. I love your suspenders look. So stylish!

That mix of the masculine and feminine is exactly where I feel most comfortable. I wear a lot of mens style or even mens rock and roll inspired styles all the time. Then I have the odd moments where I want to wear something more feminine and feel that in between.xx Jenellewww.inspiringwit.com

Hey, who said guys can’t experiment with fashion too? 😉 Haha, but yeah, I know, men’s fashion tends to be a whole lot more boring than women’s. Rocking a tomboy look can be a hard thing to pull off, but once you do, it’s quite an amazing one. And then you switch to feminine mode and get equally beautiful results. I do envy the all the options you ladies have!xoxoThomas

This is all so amazing. I tend to always stray towards a very feminine look but I am completely entranced by the Tomboy look here. I especially love the chic sophistication the hat adds to an already superb look!

I’m such a fan of both! That edgy tomboy look definitely has a place in my heart, but the soft feminine side really speaks to my soul too. I loved seeing all the photos of the bloggers. They are killing both kinds of looks!
